This privacy notice explains how personal data may be processed when you visit this website or contact me.

2. Hosting and server data

This website is hosted on Netlify, a service provided by Netlify, Inc. When the website is accessed, Netlify may process technical connection and device data that is necessary to deliver, secure and operate the website, such as IP address, browser and device information, requested resources, referrer information, and date and time of access.

The legal basis for this processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest is the secure, reliable and technically functional operation of this website. Netlify may process data outside the European Economic Area. Netlify states that it uses legal transfer mechanisms including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, for eligible transfers to the United States, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Further information is available in Netlify's Privacy Statement.

3. Contact by email

If you contact me by email, I process the information you provide, such as your name, email address and message, in order to respond to your enquiry. Depending on the nature of the enquiry, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual communication, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other correspondence. Correspondence is retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant communication and any applicable legal retention obligations.

4. Contact form

If you use the contact form, the information you enter — in particular your name, email address, project or occasion (if provided), and message — is processed through Netlify Forms so that I can receive and respond to your enquiry. Netlify stores verified form submissions in its service. I may also configure Netlify to send me an email notification when a new submission is received. The form data is not used by this website for advertising or audience analytics.

Depending on the nature of the enquiry, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for contractual or pre-contractual communication, or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for other correspondence. I will keep enquiry data only for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and comply with applicable legal retention obligations. Netlify recommends that site owners actively manage and regularly delete stored submissions containing personal data.

5. Instagram link

This website contains a link to my Instagram profile. No Instagram content is embedded on this website. Data is transmitted to Instagram only when you choose to follow that external link. The privacy practices of the external service then apply.

6. Cookies and analytics

This website does not currently use analytics, advertising trackers or non-essential cookies. It also does not load external web fonts.

7. Your rights

Subject to the requirements of the GDPR, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority.

8. Supervisory authority

For a private-sector controller based in Bavaria, the competent supervisory authority is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Ansbach.

9. Changes to this notice

This notice may be updated if the website, hosting setup or services used on the website change.
